Transparency about our partnerships and commercial relationships
Expat LLC is an affiliate partner of Wise (business banking), Xapo Bank (personal banking), Tello (US mobile plan), LAB312 (digital hygiene) and SafetyWing (health and travel insurance for nomads). Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you sign up through them, we receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra: the price you pay is the same, and sometimes lower where we have negotiated a discount for you.
At Expat LLC, we believe in full transparency with our visitors and clients. This page sets out our commercial relationships and how we monetise this website.
An affiliate link is a special link containing a unique identifier that identifies us as the referring source. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase or sign up for a service, the partner company may pay us a commission for that referral.

Wise is our partner for opening multi-currency business accounts. We take part in the Wise referral programme: when you open a Wise Business account through our link and use it actively, Wise pays us a commission. Wise Business is our recommended choice for holding a US LLC's cash (USD, EUR, CHF, GBP and 40+ currencies, international IBAN, works with Stripe and PayPal).
Xapo Bank is our partner for personal banking (USD, worldwide VISA card, built-in Bitcoin custody). We take part in the Xapo Bank referral programme: when you become a member through our link, Xapo pays us a commission and may give you a welcome bonus. Xapo Bank is a digital private bank based in Gibraltar, well suited to nomads and expatriates.

Tello is our partner for getting a US phone number (contract-free US mobile plan, from a few dollars a month). A US number is often needed to open a US bank account, complete two-factor authentication (2FA) or receive verification texts while setting up your LLC. When you sign up through our referral link, Tello pays us a commission and may give you a welcome credit. Your price is unchanged.
LAB312 (lab312.info) is our partner for the digital side of expatriation: digital hygiene training, OSINT audits of your online footprint, de-Googled phones and privacy consulting. It is a field we do not cover ourselves, and one we chose to entrust to a specialist rather than improvise. Our discount code EXPAT gives buyers 5% off, and earns us a commission on sales made with it.
SafetyWing is our partner for health and travel insurance built for digital nomads, expats and international entrepreneurs. Two plans: Nomad Essential (long-term travel insurance with an emergency health core) and Nomad Complete (broader international health insurance). We take part in their ambassador program: when a reader subscribes through our links, SafetyWing pays us 10% of payments (Essential and Complete combined, up to one year at renewal). This changes neither your price nor your coverage.
Important note: unlike Wise and Xapo, we are not customers of SafetyWing ourselves. Our dedicated page says so explicitly in the hero, presents both plans honestly, and cites credible alternatives (Cigna Global, Allianz Care, IMG, Bupa Global) instead of pretending SafetyWing is the only option. It's an ambassador presentation, not a customer review.
This partnership covers the French-speaking audience only, because LAB312's products are delivered in French. That is why LAB312 is disclosed here but no LAB312 affiliate link appears anywhere on our English pages: we disclose the relationship in full, without promoting it to an audience the service is not built for.
