Everything about the annual filing

Yes, absolutely. Form 5472 must be filed as soon as there has been a reportable transaction between your LLC and you, including simple capital contributions to open a bank account. Even a dormant LLC with $0 income must file if any funds have moved. The penalty is $25,000 minimum per missed form.
The standard deadline is April 15 for LLCs closing their fiscal year on December 31. An automatic 5-month extension is available by filing Form 7004, pushing the deadline to September 15. However, paying your provider to generate the forms before April 15 remains best practice.
You mail them by registered post to the corresponding IRS address (which we provide with your delivery). These forms cannot be filed electronically for single-member foreign-owned LLCs: they must be mailed physically. We provide complete instructions along with your PDFs.
All amounts must be converted to USD for the IRS. You can use the official annual average exchange rate published by the IRS or the Federal Reserve. Provide your amounts in the original currency in the form, along with the rate used, and we handle the conversion for you.
Our service is document-preparation assistance for IRS forms based on the information you provide. We are not certified CPAs and do not give personalized tax advice. For complex situations (multiple income sources, ETBUS, etc.), we recommend consulting a CPA specialized in international taxation.
