Why there is no Wise referral "code"
Unlike other services (such as Xapo Bank, where you type a code), Wise chose a link-only referral system: there is no "promo code" or "referral code" field anywhere in the signup flow. If you see "Wise codes" floating around forums, they are actually link identifiers. The only way to activate the welcome perk is to create your account through an invite link, like ours.
By signing up through wise.com/invite/ahpc/louish756, your perk is attached automatically: a fee-free first Wise transfer (typically up to £500, about $600) or, in some countries, a choice between the fee-free transfer and a free Wise card. Nice detail: once clicked, the link does not expire, so you can finish signing up later.
What exactly is Wise?
Wise (formerly TransferWise) is the most widely used multi-currency account in the world: 16+ million customers, the real exchange rate (mid-market, no hidden margin) and fees shown upfront. For an expat, an international freelancer or an LLC owner, it is the base layer of the financial stack.
40+ currencies in one account
Hold, convert and send USD, EUR, GBP, CHF and dozens of other currencies at the real rate.
Local banking details
US account number (ACH + routing), European IBAN, GBP account: get paid like a local in each zone.
International card
Spend and withdraw worldwide at the real exchange rate, without hidden fees abroad.
Wise Business for your LLC
An account in your US LLC's name with US details: the first banking solution we recommend for non-residents.
Low-fee transfers
Often 5 to 8 times cheaper than a traditional international bank wire, arriving within hours.
Regulated and established
Regulated institution (FCA in the UK, NBB in Europe), publicly listed in London. Customer funds safeguarded.

Depending on your country: a fee-free first Wise transfer (up to ~£500 / $600) or a choice between the fee-free transfer and a free card. The exact perk is shown at signup.
The perk is for new Wise customers only (no pre-existing account). The amount and nature of the perk (fee-free transfer, free card) vary by country of residence and can be changed by Wise at any time. The perk covers Wise fees, not external costs. Up-to-date terms on wise.com.
The real win: Wise Business for your LLC
The referral perk is a nice touch, but the real value of Wise for our audience is elsewhere: Wise Business is the first account we recommend for a non-resident US LLC. Fully online opening, US banking details in your LLC's name (to receive Stripe, PayPal, client payments), a European IBAN to repatriate euros, a business card, and per-currency balances.
If you form your LLC with us, opening the Wise Business account is part of the journey: see our US bank account for non-residents guide and our business banking page. Still weighing the structure? Start with why open a US LLC as a non-resident.
